Answer™ - FAQ About the Shipping Brackets (Feet)

Both the Answer Model 8 and Model 12 are bolted to brackets for shipping:

The reason for these brackets is to create space for a fork lift or pallet jack to fit under for transportation:

When receiving the shipment, we always recommend inspect the body of your Answer Safe to make sure there are no shipping damages.

Please note: Scratching or peeling of the paint on the shipping brackets (feet) is NOT considered shipping damage as they are removed for installation. 

Below is a download outlining how to remove the shipping brackets from your Answer Safe

You will need the following:

  • 14mm socket wrench
  • 5” thick x 24” long Wood to block the bottom of the cabinet a (2x4 and 4x4 works well)

Helpful Hints and Safety Tips:

  • ALWAYS use two(2) people when working on the safe
  • Work on a level surface with good traction 
  • Use cardboard or other cover to protect the floor.
  • Make sure the doors are ALWAYS closed when moving or adjusting the Answer Safe. 
  • Do not tip or invert the safe, as the doors will slide off and you risk scratching the top.
