Agile Cabinet Electonic Lock (12 digit Keypad) - FAQs and Basic Troubleshooting Guide
Agile Electronic Lock Not Opening - In most cases it is the battery.
1. Make sure you are using a brand-new, Energizer 9V battery. How to replace Battery
*Note: Be sure to use a name-brand, Energizer alkaline battery and DO NOT use Lithium/Ion batteries. Off brands do not always put out a full 9 volts or amps, and Lithium batteries will put off too much voltage and DAMAGE the lock.*
2. Try the lock with the door open but locked. If it works with the door open than it means something is putting pressure on the door and or locking rods. Check that the door is clear of any obstructions to include items (including Stock Bases) under the locking bolts, bins and shelves hitting items on the door organizer.
3. Try resetting your code using the red reset button (located under the black cap on the inside of the door) How to reset the code
Agile is Not Locking - The Swing-Bolt lock is spring loaded and uses a sliding pin and cam to unlock and re-lock the bolt. If the handle is not turned all the way to the right, it will sometimes leave enough slack that the pin doesn't secure.
1. Make sure there are no obstructions of the bolts or pressure on the door; be sure nothing is blocking the bottom bolt (Stock Base, ammo can, box, etc.).
- Stock Bases should be set flat on the bottom of the cabinet about 1” from the back of the cabinet (or resting on a Stock Base Shelf).
- If the Stock Bases are up against the door and/or on the bottom lip of the door frame it will interfere with the bottom lock rod.
2. Large Bins and Shelves when perfectly placed can create enough tension to prevent the door closing as well.
- Gun slings should be kept away from the door to prevent them from interfering and jamming the door.
- If you have pistols/gear in your large bin that hang over the edge, or are using a door organizer, make sure they are not touching.
3. Be sure that you are firmly turning the handle all the way to the right when closing. DO NOT over-crank the handle as it risks stripping it.
Handle Spins and Will Not Open - The handle is designed to break/strip if forced. This is to prevent someone from forcing their way into the Agile cabinet.
1. If the stock bases or items being stored are too close to the door, they can hit the lock rod and or put pressure on the door making it hard to open. Please be sure there are no obstructions.
2. If your handle is spinning and Agile is open: DO NOT close and lock it. Contact support and we can get you a replacement handle and instructions for replacing.
3. If your handle is spinning and the cabinet is locked: DO NOT keep trying to open it or spin the handle. Contact support for instructions on how to best get it open.
